CHEERS TO TWENTY-SIX.
Since Carrie Bradshaw is my go-to girl for fashion inspiration, it’s only fitting that I made this CB quote my mantra for year TWENTY- FIVE. Last year on my 25th birthday, I was newly single and had no idea what I was doing in the dating game. I decided that instead of spending year 25 looking for another serious relationship that I would spend the year building a strong & loving relationship with myself and hopefully attract people that supported me on that journey. And on my TWENTY-SIXTH birthday this past Saturday, I realized that I had accomplished just that.
It’s been 3 days since my birthday, and I’ve finally had time to process and reflect on all the love and celebrations from the weekend. Friends and family drove from Clemson, Greenville and even Charleston, West Virginia to partake in the fun here in Atlanta. I realized on this very special birthday night how many people have truly fallen in love with the version of me that I’ve grown to love this past year, and yes, it’s a pretty FABULOUS feeling!
The birthday celebrations were pretty FABULOUS, too! My girls Aimee & Kacy planned everything out perfectly! The festivities started with mimosas, manicures and lunch at my favorite tex-mex spot, Superica on Saturday. (If you haven’t tried their TresLeches cake, you haven’t lived yet!) But the fun really started at dinner when friends from all walks of my life came together at MF Sushi in Inman Park. It’s the best feeling in the world seeing all your friends have so much fun together!
Since Carrie inspired my lifestyle change in year TWENTY-FIVE, naturally my outfit for dinner was also very CB inspired with a pink tulle-skirt from KnowStyle! I paired it with my favorite white crop top, nude pumps and a classic CB martini. The band on the skirt was so comfortable and the tulle had just the right amount of poof! My girlfriends really showed up and showed out as well. Check out those beauties!
Another birthday celebration may have come to end, but I know it’s just the beginning of the most fabulous year yet. Cheers to TWENTY-SIX and another beautiful year with all of you!
